Rachel Denholm is a Lecturer in Applied Health Data Science, University of Bristol and epidemiologist at the Centre for Academic Primary Care at the Bristol Medical School, with expertise in using electronic healthcare records. 聽Rachel completed her PhD at UCL, investigating the impact of child maltreatment on physical development using the 1953 British birth cohort and followed this at the International Agency for Research on Cancer, Lyon, France as a post-doctoral fellow, working on international aetiological projects focusing on lung cancer.聽 Before coming to the University of Bristol, Rachel worked for LSHTM, investigating early life factors that influence breast-tissue composition using the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) cohort. Rachel鈥檚 role at CAPC is focused on the use of routine electronic health records for the purposes of aetiological and health-service research. 聽In particular, Rachel is interested in the use of medication in vulnerable groups, and in particular patients with multimorbidities.
